Should I get my old labels vintage Volkswagen? Or should follow the normal registration?
I am 25yrs old and I have two classic cars: VW Beetle 1973 and a 1976 VW Campmobile (also known as "hippie van"). Both were taken off the road for about a year but now that summer is approaching, I'm getting the reinsured and re-registered. A lot of people I keep saying that antique car tags, because then I'll have to endure the hassle of paying for the inspection of each year and other charges. I've also heard that the classic car insurance is very inexpensive – only a few hundreds a year in full (liability, collision integral) coverage. Last year, I had my car on a regular insurance policy and paid $ 12/mo for Campmobile and $ 36/mo for a bug (The Campmobile was cheaper, and that qualified for the discount Multicar). This was to cover the state min – Liability only. Do you think classic car insurance save me a lot of money? Also – Is it hard to get approved for classical labels, and how long it usually take? I understand that I have to send pictures. Council?
